The United States allows foreign nationals to enter the United States and attend a very broad selection of schools, colleges, and Universities. For instance, a Student Visa issued for a Bachelor’s Degree would typically give the student a visa that would be valid for a period of 4 years with a grace period added at the completion.
While in the United States on a Student Visa, a student will be eligible for employment authorization on a limited basis. Importantly, a student, upon graduation can apply for post graduate curricular or optional practical training, gain employment and remain in the United States for additional time.
